Dreaming of Amy at LadyboyGold
In one of my recent posts, I said that Ladyboy69 was the very first ladyboy site to produce “glamour” type pictures, but the trend has been set and there are now more and more ladyboy/shemale photographers trying to raise the bar.
In some circumstances, I also do appreciate the very “amateur” style of pictures that I could have taken myself in Bangkok with one of the local ladyboys I’d have met in a bar; but most of the time I really appreciate pictures of good quality. That is: nice background, well lit, good looking model (plus good make-up and wearing nice lingerie). It may seem easy but it’s not.
A while back I’ve been lucky enough to talk with a guy who worked for one of the main ladyboy sites (more about that in a future blog post 
), and he told me there are basically two kind of photographers: those who just go see the working girls at night and bring them in their nearby hotel to photograph them. Since most of them offer the bare minimum the girls who accept are either ugly or girls who’ve had a bad evening and want to make some more cash before to call it a day. So they get an exhausted (and most of the time ‘high’) girl who only wants to go back home quickly and the result is awfull.
On the other hand, some photographers take the time to set up appointements with girls (often in the afternoon so even the night owls are well awaken), after they arrive they are taken care of by a make up artist because very few show up maked up, they dress them in nice outfits/lingerie, the photoshoot is done in an appartment or studio with a professional lighting equipment, etc…
As you can imagine the result is VERY different. That why I’m glad that LadyboyGold appeared. Now Ladyboy69 has some competition and I’m sure it’ll help both sites to improve… It’s certainly not us, ladyboy fans, who are going to complain about competition between sites leading to quality improvment
